Today, they remain stranded in a small hospital room in Egypt, while Refaat is stuck in the occupied strip, separated from them due to the relentless border closures.

Since their separation, Refaat has done everything in his power to support his family remotely. Despite dodging bombs, freezing in the wet and cold nights, and enduring days of starvation, he sends what little funds he can to his wife and daughters. His sacrifices are a testament to his unshakable love for his family.

A Life-Threatening Health Crisis

Refaat is battling a severe heart condition that requires an ICD pacemaker to regulate his heart. The battery in his device is now expired, putting him at high risk of complications. Without immediate medical care, his condition could worsen rapidly.
