Help Reese Beat Cancer and Get Back on His Feet

Our friend Reese Halso is just 25 years old, but instead of living life to the fullest, he’s been spending his days in a chemo chair fighting stage testicular seminoma cancer that has spread to his lymph nodes.

Reese has worked hard for the past 5 years at Walmart in online grocery fulfillment. He’s the kind of person who’s always moving, always lifting, and always lending a hand. But cancer has put that life on pause. Chemo has left him drained, unable to do the workouts he loves, and struggling to keep up with the bills piling up while he recovers.

Right now, Reese is facing:

Medical bills already at $6,000 (with one more week of chemo to go)

$2,000 in collections

A $350 car payment coming due

No paycheck for weeks due to treatments and recovery

Reese has received one small disability leave distribution, but it’s not enough to cover his current expenses. Even when he’s cleared to go back to work soon, catching up will be a huge uphill climb.

Before his diagnosis and treatments began, Reese had already paid his car insurance in advance for the entire year—a simple but powerful example of how responsible and forward-thinking he is. Unfortunately, despite his careful planning, cancer has created challenges he could never have prepared for.

Reese isn’t just a cancer patient—he’s a devoted boyfriend, loving family member, and an animal lover who dotes on his Cherokee dog, Mouse the cat, and “Bun Bun” the bunny.

Fighting life’s hardest battles isn’t new to the Halso family. Reese’s mother, Allie Halso, is a breast cancer survivor, celebrating 8 years cancer-free while keeping her active and outgoing personality. In December 2022, Reese’s father, Steve, suffered a massive heart attack and was without a heartbeat for 8 minutes. Through determination, therapy, and the grace of God, Steve is still with us today—continuing his physical and cardio therapy.

This family has beaten the odds before. With faith, love, and your help, we believe Reese can too.

We’re asking for your support so Reese can focus on healing, not on debt. Your donation will go toward his medical bills, living expenses, and keeping him afloat until he’s healthy enough to get back to work.

No amount is too small—every dollar makes a difference. Even if you can’t donate, please share this with others who might be able to help.

Let’s lift Reese up the way he’s lifted so many boxes, spirits, and hearts over the years.

Donate here and help Reese get back to the life he loves.
