Re-Entry One is a non-profit organization created by returning citizens to provide social services to formally incarcerated individuals to reduce recidivism.
Giovanni Sairras, the CEO for Re-entry One, is a returning citizen himself looking to help others who shared the same lived experience in their journey when they return home. Re-entering society post incarceration is challenging by nature, due to the fact that there are little to no services provided to keep our loved ones returning home safe and successfully. As someone, who has seen people return home with a lack of resources, Giovanni understands the imperative need for more inclusive social services for this forgotten population.
There are basic needs that have to be met when people are returning home, and more often then not those needs are not met. This is where we are trying to raise funds to provide and outsource services to all of our formally incarcerated community.
The goal of this Gofundme is to raise funds in order to jump start our programs and services, and to begin serving the community. We have not received any official grants yet to allow us to sustain this work in the moment.
