Reed has been through more pain and loss in a few short years than most endure in a lifetime. Despite facing immense trauma, he has always shown up for others—even when he’s barely able to breathe himself. He’s the kind of person who would offer you a hand while he’s still pulling himself out of the water.

Reed’s greatest source of comfort and purpose has been his dog, Lady, his friends who are family, and his passion for music and nature. Kayaking, playing bass with his band, hiking and camping and enjoying his family are special to Reeds soul. But behind that bond to friends, family, and our beautiful home, is a man carrying unimaginable weight: Reed lost both his mother and brother in a short span, and has been grappling with the trauma of those losses ever since.

Now, after years of fighting silently, Reed is in detox and preparing to enter a treatment program in California—a crucial step toward saving his life and giving him a real shot at healing. He’s ready to fight for his future, but he can’t do it alone.
