Reed LaPage, my brother, is facing one of the toughest battles of his life. He was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in his bones and lungs, a discovery that came after he broke six ribs while working and had to go to the ER. Since then, Reed has been undergoing chemotherapy and is doing his best to stay strong, but the financial burden is becoming overwhelming. After paying his monthly Medicaid premium, he is left with very little to cover all his other bills—house payment, insurance, electricity, water, and more. Reed is even considering selling the guitar he inherited from our father, who also passed away from cancer. That guitar is his most prized possession, and it breaks my heart to see him in this position. He used to drive a semi for a living, which has left him with a bad back and difficulty walking, making things even harder.

The funds raised here will go directly toward helping Reed pay his medical bills, living expenses, medicines, gas to get to treatments, groceries, and legal fees to set up a will or trust. We've tried to get help from programs like SNAP, but they only gave him minimal support for food. I am doing everything I can to help, but I am not wealthy, and the costs are just too much for us to handle alone.
