Help reduce Hayden's medical bills

For anybody who has followed the path to Hayden's birth, you know it's been a rollercoaster and his delivery (and the days that followed) really highlighted the miracle that this sweet boy is to his family.

Hayden Christian Anderson made his grand debut into the world on October 22, 2024, weighing a perfect 6 lbs 12 oz and was 17" long. Unfortunately, Hayden had severe complications during the delivery process; he had a small brain bleed, a collapsed lung, hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, and neonatal respiratory distress syndrome. As soon as the doctors realized what was happening, he was whisked away by the spectacular team of doctors at ECU so they could properly assess and come up with an intensive plan for how to help him—leaving both Kelley and Tiffany unable to hold their newborn son and leaving them in a state of fear and confusion for what was next.

The doctors quickly decided on Whole-Body Hypothermia, or Total Body Cooling (this is a process where the baby’s temperature is carefully lowered after a traumatic labor experience, essentially protecting the brain by minimizing the production of toxic substances that can cause brain injury). For 72 hours, Hayden was placed on a cooling blanket so his little body could recover as best as possible. Kelley and Tiffany (along with the rest of their family) sat beside Hayden, prayed over Hayden, and updated their support network on how he was doing. After his 72 hours of being on the cooling blanket, he was slowly rewarmed over a period of 6 hours and then had to show his doctors that he could maintain his temperature over the next 24 hours (which he did!!!!).

After a VERY long 9 days in the NICU/Special Care Unit, Hayden and his moms were finally able to go home.

In uncomplicated deliveries, this time at home is usually filled with late-night feedings, sleeping when you can, sanitizing bottles, and learning the new routines; for Kelley and Tiffany, it's also filled with concern for medical bills. Specialist consults, life-saving cooling therapy, medications, and a host of other traumatic labor-related costs have left the Andersons with a mountain of medical debt that nobody was anticipating or could remotely plan for. We're here to ask our wonderful community to help rally around Hayden & his moms to help ease some of the medical bill burden they're facing. Any amount you can donate would be *greatly* appreciated!!!
