Our Dear son, brother, uncle, nephew and amazing friend Aaron, is entering a challenging journey in his fight with cancer. Unfortunately he was just recently diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

This GoFundMe is here to assist Aaron to focus on healing without the constant worry of how to keep up payments and cover his ongoing living expenses…financial stress can be overwhelming and should never be part of anyone’s cancer journey.

Aaron is trying to stay hopeful and grounded, however as a sub-contractor he doesn’t have access to benefits like employment insurance or sick leave. The bills are piling up, there are loan payments due each month and his inability to work is making it challenging to manage all of his living expenses.

To add to his stress, at the end of April Aaron's lease is up and he will have to move from his home as rent payments are no longer manageable with no money coming in.

Aaron is 37 years young and has been working for many years in the construction industry often requiring a lot of very heavy lifting, which has placed extreme amounts of stress on his body. Aaron has been dealing with a lot of pain and lack of energy for several years not realizing at the time that it may have been more the result of the cancer ravaging his body than just the result of the heavy work.

Due to the physical challenges Aaron is dealing with, he is having a difficult time working. Realizing Aaron's struggle, one of his more recent employers told him they appreciated him and his contribution to the company however they reluctantly made a decision to lay him off. It was stated that they could see the toll the workload was having on him and that they were concerned about his physical well- being.

Fortunately, although he has a potentially rough road ahead of him, the doctors are optimistic and they have started Aaron on a 6 month treatment plan. Between the pain and the additional drain on his energy from the treatments, Aaron will not be in a position to work for the foreseeable future and will need all the help he can get.

Asking for help does not come easily to him. As a single person trying to cover expenses on his own with no insurance coverage, asking for support from the community appears to be the only option. Aaron initially hoped to move through this quietly with only a small circle of support however as times are tough for many these days, that is not currently an option.

Your donation, no matter the amount, will help provide hope, stability, and support as Aaron continues to navigate through his fight against cancer. If you know Aaron, you know he is a kind, compassionate, talented, intelligent man with a great sense of humor and a lot to offer. His positivity and courage to go beyond his comfort zone through this process thus far has been both admirable and inspiring.
