On October 27th, our family's world was turned upside down when Manny, a devoted husband and father of two young children, collapsed from a ruptured brain aneurysm.
At just 42 years old, Manny underwent emergency brain surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Doctors discovered a massive aneurysm that had likely been growing in his brain for years. While surgeons successfully stopped the bleeding, Manny suffered multiple strokes and remains in a coma in the ICU. He is now in the most critical period (days 7-14 post-rupture) when complications are highest. The doctors have told us this will be a very long road with an uncertain outcome.
Reda, Manny's wife, is balancing her work, hours at the ICU, and caring for their two young children at home. While family has been helping with the children, the demands are overwhelming and additional support is needed. The medical bills are mounting. Manny's income is gone. With so much uncertainty, Reda is stretched impossibly thin.
Many people have reached out asking how they can help. The family would deeply appreciate your support toward:
- Medical expenses (insurance deductibles, copays, long-term care costs)
- Living expenses (mortgage, utilities, groceries)
- Additional childcare to supplement family support
- Gas and parking for daily hospital visits
- Household help, meals, and daily necessities
- Children's therapy and counseling
- Whatever this family needs to get through this
If you've ever spent time with Manny, you know he's young at heart in the best possible way. He's the 42-year-old who would grab the mic at karaoke nights and bring down the house, challenge younger adults to game nights with genuine enthusiasm, play football and cheer loud and proud for his Ravens. Your support can help ease the financial burden so Reda can be there for Manny and keep her children emotionally safe during this crisis.
Every dollar helps. Every share matters. Every prayer counts.
The road ahead is long and uncertain, but together we can ensure this family has the support they need.
Thank you for standing with Reda, Manny, and their children.
Updates will be posted regularly.
