Hello everyone,

 

Our names are Carolyn and Christine. We never thought we would ever turn to crowdfunding as an option, but a week ago, our home was the victim of a targeted burglary. While you may have seen our perspective on the news about this terrifying event, we want to highlight the strain this has caused our mother in particular, who took the brunt of the financial and sentimental loss in the event.

 

 

 Our mom Trudy is an exceptionally kind and incredible person. She is a true inspiration, and has taught us to be honest, kind, and selfless, even in a world that will not always be kind to us. Her big heart, hardworking nature, and authenticity goes beyond just her family. She is a professional caregiver, primary income earner and homeowner who takes care of all of us. The families of her challenging and elderly patients know mom to be selfless, humble and caring, her dedicated work always delivered with love.

 

 

While we are counting losses for the police report, our mother is picking up the pieces of what was left of her room and possessions. Insurance claims for what may represent only 10% of the value of her significant loss. She is a strong woman who is now fraught with anxiety on how to make ends meet, especially since soon after the home invasion our entire family has contracted Covid-19. Not making any income while following quarantine procedures has put additional stress on her, but even now she does not want to trouble anyone. We are looking to raise a fund which will assist with the financial strain this event has caused. Donations will go toward helping with home payments, bills, and food.
