Please help my family recover our belongings. Our family-owned catering business could not survive in the Covid era. We had to leave the country, shipping all of our possessions, in two containers, to South Africa. We understood that we had sufficient funds, but when we arrived at the port they told us there were customs duties of $4,177. With no money left, we could only afford to ship one of the containers. We began trying to raise those funds, selling our home, but all along we were being charged very high port storage every day.
