I’m raising funds to help a family friend, Billy, a humble and hard-working young man who recently became the victim of a cruel scam.

He was offered what looked like a legitimate pet-sitting job. They sent him a check to deposit and asked him to send back a portion to “prepare for supplies.” Unfortunately, the check was fake. After it bounced, the bank withdrew $4000 from his account — money he simply doesn’t have.

He works hard, supports himself entirely, and has no financial help from anyone. This loss has taken a heavy toll on him, especially with regular bills and day-to-day responsibilities. He is a good person who was simply trying to earn honest money, and this setback has put him in a really difficult place.

I’m hoping to help him get back on his feet and recover what he lost.
