Help Recover from Theft at VFW Post 3274 Hobbs, NM

I'm the Post Quartermaster at our VFW post in Hobbs, New Mexico.

Our post fell victim to thieves back in December, not once, but twice! Stolen were 3 operational 5-ton HVAC outdoor units and 2 non-operational units. The units were the climate control for our hall, which renting the hall is one of our main sources of income.

We made it through the winter as the indoor unit's ability to provide heat stood alone.

We've had donations immediately after the event, and it is most definitely appreciated, but it barely made a dent in our $15,000 bill to replace the 3 units.

I took out a personal loan for $10,000 to pay the contractor in full between monies raised and donated so we could have cool climate controls come spring and summer. Work is scheduled to start on April 26, 2025.

The New Mexico VFW Foundation acts as a pass through entity so you the donor, will get the tax break and we will receive every cent to go towards paying off the loan.
