Help Jess Recover from Severe Scooter Accident
Donation protected
If you know me well enough you know I absolutely hate asking for help. Unfortunately at this time, I could really use some.
Recently I was in a very bad scooter accident. I ended up in the emergency room with a broken arm, two jaw fractures, a lacerated chin, broken tooth, and tons of scrapes and bruising.
For almost three weeks now I’ve been restricted to a liquid diet, in and out of the hospital for check ups, and struggling to manage extreme pain while taking care of myself when my partner is at work.
In addition, I’ve been working as a freelance creative consultant for most of the year which although gratifying in ways, is also inconsistent and never a guaranteed paycheck.
My ability to continue my work is close to none until I’m healed fully, and my mobility has been extremely limited. All of this means struggling to pay rent, bills, purchasing items to help me around the house, and lots of Lyft rides.
Thankfully I will most likely no longer require oral surgery, but I will require additional dental work that won’t be covered by insurance (a single tooth implant averages around $2,000-3,000).
Times are extremely difficult for everyone right now; our system has failed us time and time again. There are so many who need help and I’m aware of the fact it might not be possible for you to donate at this time. If that is the case I understand. All I ask is if you could please share this fundraiser in hopes of it reaching someone who can.
Thank you so much to everyone who has helped in any way during this time. Love y'all so much.
