I recently survived a sudden and frightening medical emergency—a diverticular bleed—that caused severe blood loss. It all happened so quickly, and I was rushed to the hospital where I needed seven blood transfusions to save my life. The experience was overwhelming and left me feeling both grateful to be alive and anxious about what comes next. Recovery has been slow, and I’m still dealing with the physical and emotional effects of what happened. Because of this, I’ve had to pause my events and work, which means my income is currently on hold. At the same time, the medical bills keep coming in, adding stress to an already difficult situation.
