Hello, my name is Nicole and I am organizing this fundraiser for my brother Eric.

Eric was born a fighter and has the scars to prove it. At birth his parents were told he would not survive. Growing up he faced many health challenges that were never fully corrected but nevertheless he thrived and grew into the awesome young man he is. A few days after his 31st birthday he suffered a massive bleed that seriously threatened his life. He was told that all the procedures he underwent as a child were no longer working and that a liver transplant was his best hope of living a long and fulfilling life. After a long 4-week hospital stay where he was subjected to many diagnostic tests he was finally stabilized and accepted into the JMH liver transplant program. He went home and started the waiting process. On 11/2/2021 he received an early morning call that at possible donor match was available. Our prayers were answered, and it was a match. Later that evening he underwent a successful liver transplant. We will be forever grateful to the donor and their family for this gift of life! Eric has been given a new lease on life, but his fight is not over. He faces a long recovery physically, emotionally, and financially. We are organizing this fundraiser to assist Eric with medical expenses, prescription medications, and his living expenses while he recovers. Any support you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
