On 11/15, I was in excruciating pain and drove myself to the ER for what I thought was a simple infection— turns out it was a severe infection that turned into sepsis. The team told me I’d have to go into emergency surgery and id have to be flown to a bigger hospital who would be able to help.

The same day as my life-saving surgery, my aunt and mom decided that I am causing them harm by living there as an unhealthy person and have packed all of my belongings without my permission or knowledge and are evicting me. Prior to getting sick, I’d been living there since 2018, using most of my paycheck to help pay for bills like electricity, internet, cellphones, city expenses, groceries, and other services. I’d been doing my best to help drive my mom to her doctors appointments, as well as grocery shopping and being other means of support. I have held down the same job since then, and things seemed stable enough financially.

My aunt has removed the rug underneath me completely (co-signed by my mom), causing me excessive distress and emotional pain from the hospital where im already trying to focus on recovery. Not having the support from the people who i thought were close to me has been jarring and depressing, and not only do I not have a place to go back to, but I no longer have a relationship with them.

It’s 11/28 and I am still hospitalized, as the infection continues and im having constant ivs of antibiotics trying to kill the sepsis and help me heal.

As much as I completely hate asking for help, I’m at a loss and don’t know how I will be able to afford things let alone my hospital bills once I’m out of here. I’m stressed and feel unsafe, but if you can somehow donate a few dollars I may be able to feel more stable and get back on my feet.
