Hello, my name is Recio Álvarez. I am a high-performance Dominican marathon runner, and I have qualified to compete in the World Age Group Marathon Championships, which will take place on May 24, 2026, in Cape Town, South Africa.
This event is part of the circuits selected by the Abbott World Marathon Majors and brings together the best runners in the world by age category. Representing the Dominican Republic on this stage is both an honor and a great responsibility.
Over the years, I have dedicated my life to athletics, achieving a personal best of 2:25:17 in the marathon, and I continue training with discipline and commitment with the goal of competing at the highest international level.
However, participating in a competition of this magnitude involves significant travel and logistical expenses, which I must cover personally.
For this reason, I have created this campaign with the goal of raising funds to help cover:

Accommodation during the competition
