My name is Wayne. I currently live in New Jersey, but I'm originally from Westmoreland, Jamaica. On October 24th, my mom passed away suddenly in Jamaica, leaving our family devastated. We knew this day would eventually come, but none of us expected it to happen so abruptly. Just three days later, Hurricane Melissa - the worst storm to ever hit the island, swept through the western region, including Westmoreland, leaving behind widespread destruction. My family's home was completely destroyed, leaving only memories of what once was.

Today, we not only have to give mom a proper burial, but we also face the enormous task of repairing and rebuilding the place we once called home. The entire community has been devasted, and obtaining the materials needed to rebuild will be a significant challenge. This has been an incredibly difficult time for our family, and we need all the help and support we can get.
