On Friday May 16th, 2025 at approximately 2:45PM, a tornado ripped through our city with little to no warning. We are absolutely devastated. We’ve experienced a loss that has taken everything we worked so hard for over many years. Every memory, every heirloom, every piece of our lives—gone in an instant.

I was the keeper of my family’s memories: my children’s first teeth, baby pictures, our grandson’s hospital cap and band, my grandmother’s 70-year-old quilts. Vanessa’s cherished photos and heirlooms—everything she loved—is gone. We are heartbroken.

Despite many hardships we kept private, we built a home filled with love. A place where everyone felt welcome. A home that offered peace, comfort, a warm bed, and a meal to anyone who needed it.
