Help Rebuild Uniform Recording

Hey All,
so due to delays and disruptions caused by repeated flooding and personal health issues, i’m somewhat reluctantly setting up a smallish gofundme to help with the financial impact of building out a new space, the inherent loss of work/income over the last four months, and to help with completion of the live room. i have mixed feelings about asking for help, but with things being what they are, have unfortunately run out of options. i’m really excited about what this space is turning into and can’t wait to spread the goodwill, and help artists from across the world create great music in it . love y’all, and thank you for any help with this humbling situation. <longer explanation below>
as a longtime part of the philadelphia music scene - jeff zeigler has worked on a number of notable records by a wide range of artists from philadelphia and beyond, including the War on Drugs, Kurt Vile, Mary Lattimore, Allison Crutchfield, Purling Hiss, Nothing and many more in his previous space, just north of Chinatown, affectionately known as the “Eraserhood.”
Due to increased neighborhood development the space he had used as a studio for over a decade was sold, and in March Jeff began developing an open industrial space in the Port Richmond area of Philly. Since then, there have been unexpected delays due to both the flooding of the space and persistent health-issues: which have been causing major fatigue, inhibiting the already-slow and arduous process of essentially doing all construction by oneself in order to cut costs. Due to the delays, water issues and continued health problems, he has incurred major debt and is reluctantly seeking outside financial help to finish out the studio build as well as repayment of some already-existing debts caused by the build thus far.
It’s his goal with the new space to continue providing a creative, accessibly-priced environment in which both new and established artists of all walks can utilize the curated instrument collection, open, low-pressure atmosphere, and Jeff’s years of knowledge and craft to create freely, openly and develop the records they’ve always envisioned and beyond.
Thank you so much for your consideration.
