We are reaching out in response to the many heartfelt messages we’ve received regarding our family in Jamaica and their wellbeing after the devastating hit of Hurricane Melissa.

The good news is that our family is safe, alive, and well and for that, we are truly and deeply grateful. The difficult news is that our family home in Montego Bay, Jamaica, has suffered severe damage, including a broken roof, shattered windows, and flooded floors.

We are Krystle and Christopher, and our aunt, Nancy Spence, lives in our beloved family home that has been deeply affected by the storm. This home, which I affectionately call “Headquarters”, holds countless memories for our family and friends. It’s where we’ve shared some of life’s most special moments: wedding welcome party in 2017, family vow renewals, our grandmother’s wake, and even Kamiah’s college friends visiting just last year. Seeing it now in this condition is truly heartbreaking.

We are now rallying together to help restore what was lost. Funds raised will go directly toward:

• Repairing the damaged roof and windows

• Replacing furniture and appliances destroyed by flooding

• Supporting basic living needs for Nancy as rebuilding begins

We understand the times are challenging for everyone, so please know that no amount is too small! Every act of kindness truly makes a difference.
