Our dear friends, the Rodrigues family, have recently endured an unimaginable tragedy. On June 17th, a fire completely destroyed their home, leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Thankfully, everyone escaped with minor injuries, but they have lost all their belongings, including furniture, clothes, and cherished memories. We are reaching out to you for help to rebuild their lives from scratch.

Dear friends and compassionate strangers,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the story of the Rodrigues family, who recently experienced a devastating house fire on June 17th. The fire ravaged their home, leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Thankfully, Eddie and his little sister, Elizabeth both survived with minor injuries, but they lost everything they owned in the blaze.

The Rodrigues family has faced more than their share of hardship over the past few years. Eddie and Elizabeth moved to America from Puerto Rico with their mother and 3 other siblings in hope for a better future. Tragically, they suffered the sudden loss of their mother and sister early on and and just recently losing their older brother and youngest brother last year. Eddie, now the sole caretaker of his sister, has been managing all of Elizabeth medical bills while providing a stable and loving environment for them both.

Despite these overwhelming challenges, Eddie has remained a beacon of strength and kindness. He has tirelessly worked to support himself and Elizabeth, who has Down syndrome, while always extending a helping hand to friends, loved ones, and the community. Now, Eddie and Elizabeth need our help more than ever.

We are launching this GoFundMe campaign to assist the Rodrigues family with their immediate needs, including temporary housing, clothing, food, and other essentials. Additionally, the funds will go towards rehoming and replacing the possessions they lost in the fire. Any amount you can contribute will make a significant impact on their journey to recovery.
