Just three weeks after moving into their new home, the Pharr Family experienced the unimaginable—a devastating tornado struck, causing significant damage to their house. This unexpected disaster has left them grappling with repairs and the loss of their belongings. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to us. We are overwhelmed and trying to fully wrap our minds around everything that happened this morning.

Honestly, we had no idea that there was a storm that was coming through. Jonathan was awoken and saw that we were under a tornado warning. As I faintly heard the sirens going off in a distance, I jumped out to grab the kids from their rooms so they could be with us while we were watching the news. As we got back into our room, Jonathan told us to go ahead and take the dogs and kids inside the bathroom to take shelter. Realizing that the kids didn’t have any shoes just in case, I ran to their room to grab the first pair I could find, and as I ran past the dining room window with a glance… I have never seen the sky as green and eerie with purple electricity going sideways as it was in that moment. The kids and I started praying and not even a minute passed as we heard a loud BOOM and the house shook. We found out that our tree fell into Kyla’s room and if we would have waited minutes later to grab the kids into our room, the story would have been so much more different. We are thanking God for His hand over our family.

We are safe, we are physically okay. But if you could please keep our children in your prayer as they are shaken, specifically for their heart and peace of mind. And we just moved and settled into our new house 3 weeks ago, so we’re feeling all of the emotions. We love you all and are praying for everyone in our community.
