My name is Laura Martin Robillos. The Martin Family home was destroyed by the Antelope Creek Fire in Northern California on August 5, 2021. I'm fundraising on behalf of my mother, siblings, and extended family to help restore property lines, rebuild fencing, clean up the rubble, and help start the rebuilding of our family home in Tenant, California.
My father, Larry Martin, purchased 40 acres in Klamath National Forest as a young man. His dream was to build a home in "God's Country" for his future family to come together. Dad took out multiple loans to go toward building and material costs. My parents, friends, sons, and grandsons built the home from the foundation up over the course of three summers. Each year we continued to contribute and add to the place. It started with a small trailer, a generator, a deep well, and a port-a-potty. It became a two-story home with a tree house and zip-line for the grandkids and great-grandkids to enjoy. Over the years, extended family, and friends have gathered together at "The Yellow House on the Prairie". My father passed away in 2018, but his memory lived on in the place. My mother continues to pay the outstanding loans.
Unfortunately, due to the location of the property, there was no insurance on the home. We greatly appreciate any support to help support our clean up and rebuilding efforts. We are grateful for your thoughts and prayers.
