Today, December 16, 2025, we are officially closing our GoFundMe for the Catcha Falling Star and Ivan’s Restaurant staff. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to every single person who donated, shared, and sent kind messages. Your support has been a lifeline.

Because of you, we raised $43,868 from nearly 200 donations.

After Hurricane Melissa impacted Jamaica, many of our team members faced serious personal losses, including damaged or destroyed homes, lost belongings, and families displaced. Your generosity helped bring immediate relief and real hope.

As promised, all funds raised will go directly to the staff of Catcha Falling Star and Ivan’s Restaurant, supporting urgent needs and recovery like home repairs, replacement essentials, and basics such as food and household supplies. We are working personally with each affected team member to ensure the support is distributed quickly and fairly.

To everyone who has ever visited, celebrated, proposed, toasted a sunset, or simply felt at home with us in Negril, thank you for showing up for the people who make Catcha Falling Star and Ivan’s what they are. Your kindness has reminded our entire family that we are not alone.

Hurricane Melissa has left a lasting mark on Jamaica. While Catcha Falling Star and Ivan’s Restaurant were fortunate to escape major damage, many of the incredible people who make these places so special were not as fortunate. This fundraiser is being organized the management team of Catcha Falling Star and Ivan’s Restaurant in Negril, Jamaica.

Our beloved staff, the heart and soul of Catcha Falling Star and Ivan’s Restaurant, have suffered devastating personal losses. Homes have been destroyed or severely damaged, belongings lost, and families displaced. These are the same caring faces who greet guests with warmth, who cook, clean, serve, maintain, and care for the property and its visitors with genuine love and pride. Now they need our help.

All funds raised will go directly to the staff of Catcha Falling Star and Ivan’s Restaurant to help them rebuild their lives. The money will be used to assist with rebuilding or repairing homes, replacing essential items, and supporting immediate needs like food, clothing, and household supplies.

The owners of Catcha Falling Star and Ivan’s Restaurant are also committed to helping the staff recover from this storm. They will be providing direct support alongside this fundraiser.
