Help rebuild the Hyde family home

Hello, we are the children of Joe and Frankie Hyde and this fundraiser is to help them recover and rebuild their home.

On February 2, at 2:00am, their house caught fire and burned completely to the ground. This was our childhood home, containing a lifetime worth of memories, as well as the 5 family pets, who had been sleeping downstairs and none of who made it out.

They woke to their throats and noses burning from the smoke and had just enough time to escape before it became engulfed in flames. The nearest neighbors were more than a mile away, and any, and all forms of communication were inside the house, as well as phones and keys to any of the vehicles. Given the distance to the neighbors and the extreme cold, it was more than 3 hours before they were able to get help, at around 6:00am.

Our parents wore nothing but their pajamas and socks, in -20 degree celsius weather. We are extremely grateful that they made it out and are healthy and safe, and now we need help to pick up the pieces.

We have had many friends and family express their desire to help, so we decided to open this GoFundMe for anyone wanting to contribute. The funds will go towards rebuilding their home in the spring.
