Abel, Monica, and their two little girls, Gaia and Isis, are not only dear friends but also a true pillar of their community in Mexico.

Recently, tragedy struck when their apartment was completely flooded. In just hours, everything was destroyed — their beds, furniture, clothes, and all of their daily living essentials. Their little girls have lost everything, and the family is now facing the overwhelming task of rebuilding their home and their lives from scratch.

I’ve never met people who are so generous, so loving, so compassionate, and so rich in culture, native wisdom, and tradition. I have been working with this family for years, witnessing firsthand how they open their hearts and homes to others, supporting everyone around them. They are the kind of people who give endlessly, who embody what it means to be community — and now, in their time of need, I want to do everything I can to give back.
