My name is Imam Alhagie Jallow, and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my beloved Sheikh, a humble and devoted teacher who has dedicated his entire life to teaching the Qur’an and Islamic studies in his village.

Despite his countless contributions to his community, my Sheikh has faced many severe trials, from poverty and family struggles to the recent tragedy of losing his eldest son after a long illness. His faith, patience, and commitment to Allah and the Qur’an have never wavered.

Recently, his home was completely destroyed by heavy rains and flooding. This was not the first time; each year, when the rains come, his simple home is damaged or destroyed again. He rebuilds what little he can, only for it to collapse once more.

I have personally witnessed his dedication, his kindness, and the lives he has touched through his teaching. I am one of his students, and I owe much of my understanding of the Qur’an and deen to him.

Today, I want to help rebuild a safe, strong, and permanent home for him and his family for the sake of Allah. This will be a lasting sadaqah jariyah (continuous charity) for anyone who contributes, as it will bring comfort and stability to a man who has spent his life spreading knowledge and light.
