Hello, I am Alyssa Murack. Oldest daughter of Maria and John Henschel. On April 14th, a tornado hit my parents beautiful farm in Burlington Wisconsin. This storm destroyed their 125 year old Gothic arch barn, one of very few left in the Wisconsin area. It not only destroyed this barn, it took out fences, uprooted trees, and trapped beloved chickens and rabbits under broken tree branches, and destroyed the greenhouse and more. Another barn on the property was also affected by this storm, taking off an entire wall and left things inside damaged. This farm has been loved by our family since 2018. Nana and Papa's six grandchildren love going to the farm, helping in the gardens, climbing the trees, and running around in the loft. These will be a cherished memories. But the farms story does not start there. This farm was built by early Wisconsin settlers and later was owned by John Oster, founder of the Oster Manufacturing company and its beauty has been admired by many. Maria and John have worked tirelessly everyday making this farm beautiful, planting hundreds of seedlings in the greenhouse each year to create a sea of flowers and baskets of veggies. These are always shared with friends and family, but sadly now the greenhouse also needs to be fixed in order for this to happen again. Thankfully we were able to save all the farm animals and their farmhouse was left with minimal damage but the barns will never be the same. In May we had plans to have a 25th wedding anniversary party for them in the barn. That no longer is a possibility. All the work we had already put into the barn gone in minutes. Our family is heart broken by this event but hope to rebuild the best that we can. Insurance will cover some, but will not cover everything, any assistance for my family to begin rebuilding Maria and John's dream farm is greatly appreciated.

Funding will be going directly to my parents to rebuild the barn.
