Help Me Rebuild the Galaxy, One Brick at a Time (Before May the 4th!)
A long time ago (okay, like, last week)…
In a galaxy not so far away (specifically, my living room)…
A brave soul faced a crisis unlike any other:
The government made budget cuts… and I had to cut back on Legos.
Yes, my friends, the empire has struck back—only this time, it’s in the form of adult responsibilities, rising expenses, and suspiciously expensive Lego sets. What used to be a joyful May the 4th tradition of building X-Wings, TIE Fighters, and obscure droids with weird names has become a desperate scrabble for loose bricks and instruction manuals from 2011.
I know what you’re thinking.
“Shouldn’t this grown adult be spending money on groceries, rent, or maybe saving for retirement?”
To that I say: Have you ever tried building the Millennium Falcon under fiscal pressure? It’s not for the faint of heart.
This year, instead of letting the Sith Lords of adulting crush my Lego dreams, I’m asking you—yes, you—to join the Resistance.
Your donation will help fund:
• A new Lego Star Wars set (or three… I mean, why limit the Force?)
• Emotional support snacks while building for 6+ hours straight
• Therapy (but it’s just me talking to Yoda minifigs about life)
• And most importantly, my spiritual recovery from the trauma of budget cuts
Every brick counts. Every dollar brings balance back to the Force (and my shelves). Whether you’re a Jedi, a Sith, or just a generous smuggler passing through, know that your support will be remembered across the galaxy (and forever appreciated on my social media stories).
May the Force—and your Venmo—be with me.
