Let’s lend a hand to our Handyman: Steve Leter

If you live in Los Angeles, you know inexpensive handypersons who do shoddy work are a dime a dozen. So too are those who do a good job but charge an arm and a leg. If you are a client of Steve Leter’s – Multitrade Home Repair Service – you know that he does excellent work for very reasonable prices. But Steve cannot work right now because someone stole his 2009 Toyota Tacoma quad cab truck filled with almost all of his tools.

Steve reported the loss to the LAPD, but they have seen a spike in vehicle theft in the past year, and with 1,500 to 2,000 vehicles stolen each month, it is unlikely they will recover Steve’s truck or his tools. Steve has insurance to cover a portion of the loss, but reimbursement will take time, and there will be amounts that insurance does not cover.

We are asking for your contributions in any amount to help Steve obtain transportation and rebuild his collection of tools so that he can work.  

Ever considerate and ethical, Steve said that any amounts collected over what insurance eventually covers will be donated to Habitat for Humanity, Los Angeles, to help build homes for those less fortunate.
