My name is Mindulee Seneviratne, and I’m starting this fundraiser to support the people of Sri Lanka after the devastating floods and landslides caused by the recent Cyclones. More than 830,000 people have been affected, with widespread displacement, destroyed homes, and communities struggling to recover.

The human loss is heartbreaking — many lives have been lost, many more people are missing, and thousands of families are left with nothing but the clothes they escaped in. Access to food, safe water, and medical care remains a serious challenge for countless households.

Even though I’ve spent most of my life here in Ireland. Sri Lanka will always be my home. It’s the place that shaped me, the place I carry in my heart every single day.

Seeing my country in such pain from so far away is truly heartbreaking — and this fundraiser is my way of doing something, however small, to help the people who raised me, taught me, and loved me.

Our little island needs support now more than ever. Even the smallest donation can make a real and immediate difference — a warm meal, clean water, a safe place to sleep. A little truly goes a long way.
