Help Rebuild SPBTSeminary Davao Philippines

Tax deductible
A Message from SPBTS President Edgar C. Aungon, Sr., Th.D. -- Envisioned as an institution dedicated to “Teach God’s Word, Equip God’s Servants, and Develop Godly Nation Builders”, the Southern Philippines Baptist Theological Seminary, Inc., Davao City, Philippines began training 20 pastors and kingdom workers in 1955. Since its inception, it has equipped hundreds of students, lay workers and pastors who are now in key pastoral, church, and institutional leadership positions in the Philippines and beyond. But in giving so much of itself, it is now deprived of the necessary physical care and upkeep to continue “to provide programs and resources to teach God’s Word, equip God-called and church-affirmed men and women to become committed servant-leaders of the Body of Christ, and develop generations of godly nation builders”. . . To effectively continue pursuing its mandate, SPBTS badly needs to rebuild, rehabilitate, or upgrade its school buildings as the case may be (costs at no less than USD140K) including the men’s and ladies’ dormitories that house as many as 120 students which are the focus of the present campaign. Originally built in the1980’s, the dormitories are now showing marks of overuse and disrepair with rest rooms becoming sources of distress, cooking areas becoming fire hazards, and many areas of the buildings becoming rat- and snake-infested . . . The many building structures of the seminary that were damaged by the 6.5 magnitude earthquake in October 2019 and the outbreak of COVID-19 that started 3 months later severely impacted the seminary’s finances . . . Please include us in your charitable giving especially during this coming Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. Your giving is an investment in eternity! “And I tell you, make friends for yourselves by means of worldly wealth so that when it fails, they may welcome you into eternal dwellings” (Luke 16:9) . . .
