Help Rebuild Saxapahaw Campground

Saxapahaw Campground has just experienced catastrophic flooding and damage and is closed until further notice. While we have seen the Haw River come out of its banks a few times before, we have never seen anything like this. A look back in history shows the last time a flood similar to this was almost 30 years ago.

This damage done to our beautiful campground is truly heartbreaking and while we never want to ask for folks to donate, this is a time where we truly need help. Volunteering to help with the clean-up is one way to assist in getting the campground open again; the other is by donating money to help with the tremendous cost to rebuild and reopen.
