Hi Everyone, I am Zandell Wallace from Charlottesville, Virginia. I’m organizing this fundraiser for a dear friend of mine — Rudy Samms. Rudy is like family to me. I’ve watched him work hard, stay humble, and always help others whenever he could.

My name is Rudy Samms, I'm 26 years old from St. Elizabeth, Jamaica.

A few days ago, the category 5 Hurricane Melissa tore through my community and completely destroyed my home. I lost everything. My furniture, clothes, food, and even my important documents. Right now, I have no shelter and very limited access to food or clean water. I’m trying to start over from nothing.

It’s hard to describe how it feels to see your whole life washed away overnight. But even in this pain, I’m holding on to hope. Hope that I can rebuild, and that with a little help, things will get better.

I’ve always believed in hard work and resilience, but this disaster has left me in a position where I simply can’t recover on my own. That’s why I’m reaching out to ask for your help. I’m reaching out to ask for support, no matter how small. Every donation will go directly toward helping me get back on my feet and rebuild my life.
