During my time as a Peace Corps Volunteer in a rural fishing village in Jamaica, I was befriended by a very kind and giving woman named Ronda. She is my best friend and we are still very close. Her home was destroyed in Hurricane Beryl. She is living in her bathroom with three dogs. She has no money, electricity, food, or water.
