Help Rebuild Rehoboth Praise Assembly in Dallas

Dear Friends, Family, and Faithful Community,

I am Pastor Helen Omoikhudu, continuing the legacy of my late husband, Pastor Thomas F. Omoikhudu, at Rehoboth Praise Assembly located at 11014 Shiloh Road, Dallas, TX 75228. In 1995, Thomas and I founded this non-denominational church with the vision to create a sanctuary of hope and praise. In 1998, we dedicated ourselves to building a mobile home to serve as our church—a humble yet powerful space where the Holy Spirit has been at work for more than two decades. Inspired by Genesis 26:22, where Isaac proclaimed, “The Lord has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land,” we named our church Rehoboth—a place where everyone is welcome to grow in faith and community.

Every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., our mobile home sanctuary is filled with vibrant worship, heartfelt prayers, and the warmth of fellowship. Over the years, Rehoboth has been a spiritual home for the community of Dallas, Texas, welcoming its cultural diversity from all walks of life and all socio-economic statuses.

Every year, we host our Grace Celebration, which focuses on the Love of God and the Unmerited Grace and favor He has freely given to His children.

We study the Bible together through our weekly interactive Bible sessions, which inspire the body of Christ. We also run outreach programs that partner with underserved African communities to provide education and school supplies. Additionally, we help supply food, shelter, and accommodations for those in need.

Though small, our mobile home church has been a mighty force, touching many lives weekly with individual prayer sessions, mid-week prayer sessions for the church via Zoom, counseling, and community events that unite people of all backgrounds in God’s love.

Today, however, we face an urgent challenge. After 27 years, the mobile home we built in 1998 is deteriorating due to age and Dallas’s harsh weather—scorching summers, heavy rains, and storms have weakened its foundation, leading to cracks and structural issues. Leaking roofs interrupt services, outdated electrical systems pose safety hazards, and deteriorating facilities limit our ability to gather. We’ve had to cancel events, restrict attendance, and spend valuable funds on temporary repairs. Without a complete rebuild from the ground up, we risk losing this sacred space that embodies Thomas’s vision and deeply serves our community.

That’s why we’re launching this GoFundMe campaign to rebuild Rehoboth Praise Assembly into a safe, enduring home for worship and ministry. Our goal is $700,000, broken down transparently:

$300,000 for a new foundation and structural framework to replace the aging mobile home base.
$150,000 for updated electrical and plumbing systems to ensure safety and reliability.
$150,000 for interior renovations, including seating, lighting, and audio-visual equipment for uplifting praise services.
$100,000 for exterior improvements and accessibility features to welcome all, including those with disabilities.
Every dollar will be allocated directly to this rebuild, with receipts and progress updates shared every week. As Psalm 127:1 reminds us, “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” We believe God is calling us to restore Rehoboth, honoring Thomas’s legacy while expanding our mission: growing our food pantry, launching youth mentorship programs, and creating a community kitchen to serve more Dallas families. Your support will ensure Rehoboth remains a beacon of hope and praise for generations.

If you’ve ever felt God’s presence in our services, shared a meal from our pantry, or been touched by our ministry, please consider donating today. No gift is too small—share this campaign with your friends, family, and networks to help us spread the word. Together, let’s rebuild the Rehoboth Praise Assembly, making room for God’s love to flourish in Dallas.

With gratitude and faith, Pastor Helen Omoikhudu
