Help Rebuild RAS West Village After Fire
Donation protected
Hello Community,
We’re Romeo and Milka, founders of RAS — and we’re heartbroken to share that a fire has severely damaged our West Village location. Thankfully, no one was hurt. But the space we poured everything into was devastated, and we’re now facing an overwhelming road ahead.
While we do have a small insurance policy, the coverage doesn’t come close to what it will cost to rebuild, replace lost equipment, and recover from this. That’s why we’re reaching out to our community — the people who’ve kept us going since day one.
We’re asking for your support to help bring RAS West Village back to life.
RAS has never been just a restaurant. It’s been our calling. A space filled with love, hospitality, culture, and purpose — created to serve others with intention. If you’ve been here, you’ve felt it. And if you know us, you know how deeply we care — for our team, our guests, and our mission.
We’ve always given everything we have, often quietly — showing up for our people however we could. It’s not easy to ask for help. But this moment is bigger than us. It’s about saving something that means so much to so many.
We’re trying to raise $200,000 to cover:
- Rebuilding and construction costs
- Replacement of equipment
- Lost inventory and re-opening expenses
- Supporting our team while the space is closed
- Preserving the future of RAS in the West Village
We’re still in shock, but we believe in this community — and in what we’ve built together. If you’re able to donate or share, please know it means the world.
With love and gratitude,
Romeo & Milka
