Help Rebuild Pavilion at Amy's Meats at the Homestead
Donation protected
Our friend Amy Saunder’s farm shed collapsed under the weight of an unprecedented snowfall—16 inches during the first weekend of January, followed by an additional 3 inches just days later. As the snow began to melt, the structure weakened further, leaving the shed in ruins.
This shed was more than just a building; it was the heart of the farm's community-centered events and daily operations. It served as a gathering space for their Pizza Nights on the Farm, a cherished tradition that brought people together to enjoy meals made with ingredients grown right on the farm.
The shed was also an integral part of the farm’s Farm Day Camps for children, where kids learned firsthand about sustainable agriculture and where their food comes from. Beyond this, it was a workspace for drying products, hosting educational classes, and organizing work parties that supported the farm’s mission of connecting people to the land and their food.
The loss of this structure is a devastating blow to the farm and the community it serves. Your support will help rebuild this essential space and restore the activities that make this farm so special.
Every donation helps, no matter the size. Together, we can ensure this farm continues to thrive and provide a space for learning, gathering, and community building. Thank you for being part of this effort!
