BIG, LONG NEWS UPDATE (time to rip off the band-aid!): We have been super quiet lately, and I’m sure many people have been wondering what exactly has happened when our store caught fire last week. On the morning of April 2nd, our front door was bashed in and a masked man came in and smashed and cleaned out our three big Pokemon cases, all in a span of 3 minutes. He then walked back into the building and spread gasoline from our display cases all the way to the front door, lighting everything ablaze. Although the LFD swiftly and carefully put out the fire, the damage to our main floor room and office area is extremely extensive, and everything in that room has smoke or fire damage. We have estimated to have lost about 65% of our stock, including all of our singles that were remaining in the cases. Thankfully, the person who committed this crime has already been apprehended! By keeping quiet and not tipping our hand as to what happened, detectives were able to track him down, and now hopefully justice can be served. We are hoping to recover at least some of these extremely valuable cards. And while we did have insurance in the store, it is nowhere near for the coverage of what we have lost. I, Evan Garrett (the owner and sole person responsible for management of funds) am overseeing the withdrawal of funds, and donations will go to our company bank account for immediate use -- it will be used directly to replace our display fixtures, our diminished stock, and the costs to reopen the store. We’re asking for your support to help us rebuild and bring our store back to the community. Any contribution, big or small, will make a difference.
