HELP rebuild my mother Olga house from fire.

Hello, My Name is Janet, and I am creating this fundraiser for my mother Olga. Unfortunately, my mother who was a victim of a house fire. One of the bedrooms caught on fire due to a heater that malfunctioned in my baby niece's bedroom and spread throughout the house. This incident took place 5 years ago, a week before Christmas. Thankfully my mother, grandmother, baby niece, and siblings, pets made it out alive.

 

My Mother Olga is a hard-working Single mother of 6, she takes much pride and Joy in her (Olga's Housecleaning) business for the past 28 years. She has been praying for this nightmare to end, but of course there have been so many obstacles to get this home rebuilt and move in ready. I have had such a hard time working with the insurance company, Mortgage Company, City of East Palo Alto, and a failed Contractor that made broken promises to her and ended up stealing Sixty thousand dollars.

 

She then hired a Contractor 3 years ago and was working diligently but then due to covid restrictions work had come to a halt. In the last couple of months, he has been working on completing the home but running out of money. The contractor is almost done; But the money that had been stolen, is needed for the finishing touches.  Such as Upper Kitchen cabinets, bathroom fixtures (4 sinks, 3 toilets) Lighting throughout the house, upgrade to Gas chimney, Exterior Paint, Backyard decks, front yard railing and a new fence. 

 

My mother is extremely exhausted, and all of this is affecting her Psychical and Mental health. For the last 4 years I had my mother and grandmother living with me and my family. We provided a bedroom and garage for them to share but unfortunately my landlord is now selling the home we were living in. I am unable to provide shelter for them anymore, as I too have no home and moved into my father's home with my husband and 3 children. So now my My mother and 73 yr old grandmother are homeless and going from hotels to family homes until the house is complete.

 

This is why I am kindly asking for your help; I know my mother is working tirelessly trying to come up with funds to get her foot back in the door and sleep in her bedroom. She doesn't care that there will be no furnishings, she just wants to go home.

 

I ask if you can help contribute to this woman in need. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.

 

All I want, is to see my mother happy again! Living in her home dancing while cooking and singing to her vegetables growing in the garden.
