My mother-in-law has been farming in Oahu, Hawaii for over 30 years, dedicating her life to nurturing her land and supporting her family and community. Sadly, her farm was devastated by the recent Kona low storms, which brought severe flooding to the area. This is the second time she has lost everything to a flood—the last time was 20 years ago. The emotional and financial toll of starting over again is immense, and rebuilding feels like a daunting task for her and the family. Farming is her livelihood.
The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward purchasing a new generator and new cooking equipments—critical items that will help her restore her farm and regain a sense of normalcy. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a real difference in helping her recover from this disaster and continue providing for her loved ones and the community.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the volunteers who have been helping to clean her house and to everyone who is supporting her journey to rebuild. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to us, and we are deeply grateful for any help you can offer during this challenging time.
