My wife and I own Noonie’s Place, a soul food restaurant in Vallejo that has been our dream and our livelihood. Early one morning, we were awakened by calls from our neighbors telling us that our restaurant was on fire. We rushed over in shock, only to see our dreams engulfed in billows of black smoke. The heartbreak of watching everything we’ve built go up in flames is something we’ll never forget.
While we do have insurance, it doesn’t cover everything, and right now we’re unable to work—nor are our employees. Our chef, who works full time six days a week, depends on his income to support his family. We’re also facing urgent business expenses, from paying our vendors to planning for the future of Noonie’s Place. The uncertainty is overwhelming, but we’re determined to rebuild and keep serving our community.
We’re reaching out for your support during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation will help us cover urgent needs, support our team, and give us hope as we work to bring Noonie’s Place back to life. Thank you for standing with us and believing in our dream.
