Dear Friends,
This August marks one year since a devastating fire originating from a neighboring property shook our lives and our small family restaurant, Noodle To Thai For. Though we are deeply grateful that no one was hurt, we experienced an enormous loss. The fire destroyed our beloved restaurant entirely, along with everything inside it. Since then, we’ve been forced to close our doors, and we continue to carry the burden of overwhelming costs and debts.
Time passes quickly when you’re doing what you love, surrounded by amazing friends and a supportive community like you. You’ve stood by us in both joy and hardship. You’ve forgiven our missteps, celebrated our milestones, and encouraged us when we needed it most.
Today, I write to you with humility and hope asking for your help.
Like many small businesses across the country, we are facing the impossible: covering all post-disaster expenses on our own. Despite our efforts throughout 2024 including ongoing discussions with our landlord—we've found no viable solutions, programs, or financial aid for a small business like ours. Without significant help, Noodle To Thai For is at serious risk of closing permanently.
We’ve exhausted every other option. Our debts have drained the resources we need to repair the building, replace destroyed equipment, and make the upgrades necessary to operate safely again. Most of all, we simply need breathing room to keep going.
To be clear, our small location had been doing relatively well, even in a tough and uncertain business environment thanks to your continued support. We believe we can rebuild, but we cannot do it alone. Through this campaign, we hope to raise enough to:
- Fund the reopening of Noodle To Thai For
- Pay off high-interest debts and begin repaying larger loans
- Repair and replace damaged systems and old equipment
- Make essential upgrades to our space

We’ve always believed in giving back to the community however we can, and we’ve worked hard to live by that philosophy. Now, we find ourselves in a time of great need and we humbly turn to the community that has always believed in us.
