On July 5th, my parents experienced the unthinkable — their brand new home was completely destroyed in a devastating fire. Within minutes, everything they had worked so hard to build was gone. The fire left nothing behind. They lost their home, their personal belongings, and even their car — everything was reduced to ashes.

They are now faced with the overwhelming task of starting over from absolutely nothing. While we are so grateful that my mom made it out safely, they are now in urgent need of support to cover basic necessities like clothing, shelter, food, and transportation, as well as to begin the long road to rebuilding their lives.

Anyone who knows my parents knows how kind, hardworking, and selfless they are. They’ve always been there for others — now it’s our turn to be there for them.
