Imagine waking up to find your world engulfed in flames. It's a nightmare none of us ever want to experience. But for my mom and dad, it became a harsh reality. While my dad was at work and as my mom lay asleep in her bedroom, a fire broke out, filling the room with smoke. Miraculously, by the grace of God, she woke up and her and her loyal dog, Guerro managed to escape, but everything they owned was reduced to ashes.
In the midst of this devastating loss, there were two items that survived the flames—a picture of me and my sisters and a dresser lovingly crafted by my mom’s late father, our grandpa. It’s evident he was watching over her and woke her up from her sleep.
Now, my parents find themselves in need of our help. They have always been the first to lend a helping hand to others, and now it's our turn to support them.
