My mother is 95 years old, wheelchair bound, legally blind, and hard of hearing. She has always been a source of strength and love for our family, but now she is facing one of the hardest times of her life. After Hurricane Melissa struck New Market, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, West Indies, her roof was completely destroyed, leaving her without a safe place to live. Right now, she is staying in an uncomfortable situation with no light or water, and she has to be carried upstairs just to reach the bathroom. It breaks my heart to see her in these conditions, especially at her age and with her limited mobility and health challenges.

I am reaching out for help to rebuild my mother’s roof and restore her home. She deserves to spend her days in comfort and safety, not worrying about where she will sleep or how she will get basic necessities.
