Help rebuild my mothers fire ravaged home
Victorias Fire Relief
Firstly, Our broken hearts go out to
everyone in Bulacao who lost their
homes and affected by this tragedy.
9 pm, 4th Feb 2021, Bulacao, Cebu City,
Philippines, my mother, Victoria Rondez 73, was
asleep, struggling to breathe
with her asthma & heart disease,
then suddenly her son Giovanni,
burst into her room,
shouting “Get out! get out!
The house is burning!”.
In shear terror they ran for their lives,
and in that panicked moment
every possession,
every old photograph of her childhood
memories,
every cherished keepsake
her late husband had given her,
every saved peso,
every precious possession,
every little piece of her life
had dissolved to dust, in those terrified following minutes.
Reason for the fire?
A frail old neighbour, died while cooking with a faulty LPG cooker that exploded.
Fire engulfed her house, incinerating her, as firemen found her the next day,
Feb 5th 2021.
Just 50 metres away, mums house
Never had a chance, as the houses in
Philippines are boxed together so tightly WITHOUT any regulation!
1 house & block in Australia is equal to
approximately 20 houses in Cebu,
Philippines.
The aftermath, over 100 houses burnt to the ground, penniless families now
homeless , lives shattered
& 1 person Confirmed dead.
Our hearts are broken with sorrow,
for everyone Touched by this
devastation.
Please help us with any amount
you can spare,
to rebuild our family home
in the Philippines.
This is a once in a lifetime donation
to rebuild My mums house and
feed the homeless that don’t have ANY
support,
there is NOT any Govt assistance, other than “1 sack of rice”= 25kg
Our hearts go out to everyone
who has lost their homes and
been affected by the tragedy.
This has left our whole family devastated
Due to my mums health condition &
the pandemic,
she needs to rebuild her house and have a safe place to stay.
If you could spare any amount towards
this cause,
our family will be forever grateful.
