Help Rebuild My Mom’s Roof & Garden After Hurricane Milton

Dear Friends and Family,

I am reaching out to share my parent’s story and to ask for your support during this challenging time. Four years ago, my mom and her husband achieved their dream of homeownership, pouring their heart and soul into making their house a true home. One of my mom’s greatest passions has always been her garden, which she lovingly nurtured into a vibrant sanctuary filled with trees, flowers and vegetables. This garden is not just a hobby; it keeps her youthful, active, and connected to the beauty of life.

Recently, their lives were turned upside down when a tornado caused by Hurricane Milton struck their area, causing multiple deaths in addition to significant damage to their home. While we are grateful that they are safe and able to stay in their house, the storm left their roof in ruins and her cherished garden devastated. They have temporarily covered the roof with a tarp, but this is not a permanent solution and the repairs will not be easy. Much of my mom’s trees and plants that have been planted in these last four years will need to be replanted, if not replaced entirely, which will be no easy task to take on and will take months, if not years.

My parents need to replace the roof entirely, and the cost of the insurance deductible is a heavy burden to bear. That’s why I’ve created this GoFundMe page—to help them start the repairs that will restore their home and her garden. Your contributions will not only aid in fixing the roof but will also bring hope and stability back into their lives. With this support, my mom will also be able to rebuild and restore the beauty that she has created in her garden over the last four years.
