Hi everyone, my name is Radika.

I’m not usually one to speak publicly, but my heart is heavy after seeing the devastation caused by the recent hurricane in Jamaica, especially in St. Elizabeth and the small district I grew up in, Slipe.

Slipe is a close-knit rural community filled with hardworking families, many of whom have now lost their homes, crops, and basic necessities. The hurricane left behind widespread damage, roofs torn off, homes destroyed, and many families struggling to meet their daily needs.

I left Jamaica to move to England when I was 9 and a half years old and haven’t been back in 23 years. I had been planning a trip in March 2026 to show my children where I grew up, the place that shaped who I am. But now, that same place is facing devastation and hardship, and I can’t just stand by.

My goal is to collect donations to send barrels of food, clothing, and essential supplies directly to families in Slipe as they rebuild their lives.

Every dollar raised will go towards:

* Purchasing and shipping barrels filled with non-perishable food, clothing, and hygiene products

* Supporting local families whose homes were damaged or destroyed

* Helping restore hope and dignity to this beautiful community

No donation is too small every contribution helps make a real difference.
